The Wet Season Unedited water reflections of Amsterdam. Taken with a Sony HX200V. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop. This time of the year is perfect for shooting wicked reflections and I'm happy about the rain and the sunshine and all that...if you would like to see some of my puddle photos in real life, you should check out my Solo Expo at the cafe Van de Buurt, for the next 3 months a selection of my work can be seen there, the opening hours are Mon - Sun: 10:00 am - 12:00 am :)

AmsterSam Solo Expo Saturday my Solo Expo started at the cafe 'Van de Buurt' in the west of Amsterdam and it was a great night with lovely people and good music, here is the photo album of the evening. AmsterSam The Light Painter Shots of my 2nd attempt at Light Painting in Amsterdam. Taken with a Canon 400D. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop. Inspired by the awesomely talented Light Painters Vincent, Wen, and Tim, I've made a first attempt at this beautiful art form some weeks ago, and last night it was time to put up that tripod again, bring out the lights, and spend some quality time with the lovely Miss K and Miss M doing this cool thing that makes everything look magic :) P.s. Don't forget, tomorrow my next Solo Expo starts at 16:00 at the cafe 'Van de Buurt', come and hang out with me and my friends :)

ASA Pop-up Store The 2013 ASA Pop-up Store was great fun, I've met lots of cool people and saw plenty of wicked art work, too bad it's over now and we'll have to wait for another year for the next edition...here are my pictures from the grand Opening and the Toy design competition :)

At The Bike Jail Shots of the bike Impound in Amsterdam. Taken with a Sony HX200V. My lovely bike, the awesome Lord Bikenheimer, has been cut loose and brought to the municipal Impound earlier this week due to my stupidity and inability to pay attention to details. Luckily my friend Miss L took the time to bring me there by car to retrieve my bike, so after 24 hours we were re-united, and I almost never enjoyed biking as much as on that ride home...I missed you my steely buddy and I promise I will never let this happen again :)

People Of Amsterdam Shots of people in Amsterdam. Taken with a Sony HX200V. Today my next exhibition starts at 17:00 at the 'Slang' on the Spuistraat 199, if you are in town, you should come, free entry, lots of wicked art to see and of course plenty of lovely people to meet! As you can see in this series of shots, we are cool folks that find their own way of moving through life, be it by boat, bike or one of those tiny handicapped cars, we'll always make it somehow. Thank God it's Friday!

This Autumn season is really spoiling me with plenty or rain, new puddles get created almost every day and I really have to force myself not to spend all my time hunched over wet spots on the pavement, I mean, really, there are more important things in life then to take photos of wicked reflections, for example...hmmmm, can't really think of anything, maybe I'll come up with something while I'll shoot some more puddles, lol :D

Walk The Line Shots of Amsterdam. Taken with a Sony HX200V. I don't know why this is, but I like taking pictures in which strong lines dominates the overall shot, it could be my inner sense of order, or my slight case of OCPD acting up, or simply the pleasure of having things aligned in a certain way, but whatever it is, it often allows me to take pictures that are reasonably easy on the eye and amuse and entertain me for a while...I hope you like them too :)

The current weather in the best city in the world is simply perfect for shooting wicked reflections, it rains almost every day, and even though I'm the only one in this country who is happy about that, I bet my level of excitement makes up for at least half of the populations grumpiness induced by the wetness...sorry Holland, it's just too much fun to shoot puddles, lol :D
