Today the new week starts and I can't help thinking 'Almost Weekend!'...I really don't know what's wrong with me, but I always try to focus on good things ahead of me instead of living in the here and now...or maybe it's a good thing, inside my egg-shaped head the Weekend/Spring/Payday/Vacation is always just around the corner, even if they're still months away...I guess I need to take a course in 'Right Here And Nowness' or something, haha ;-D

When I was a wee little Reflectah, I used to love playing with my toy cars, so when I came across this beauty, I had massive flashbacks to my childhood, and luckily there was a puddle around to capture this dream of a Hot Rod. I'm often asked if I make my own puddles, and the answer is always 'No'...I have my people who do that for me, lol. In these pictures you can see my personal puddle maker, spraying the pavement to prepare for a shoot...or maybe it's just a confused window-cleaner who's wondering why a guy with a cam is following him around, hunching over the wet spots he created, hehe ;-)

Artsy Puddle People Uedited shots of people at the Rokin in Amsterdam, reflected in a puddle. Taken with my Sony HX1. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop. I was hanging out around this puddle when a tram arrived and spit out its passenger-load on the other side of the street, a big mob approached and tried to figure out what I was doing, unaware of the fact that I in return kept shooting them, making them part of this ongoing wicked reflection project, turning them into artsy puddle people in the process...I think it was a win-win situation, they got to look at a madman waving his cam at a wet spot, I got to (ab)use them for my Flickr stream, hehe :)

If you're suffering from a case of the Monday's, just relax, 40 more hours of hard labor and you'll be able to enjoy your free time and some rest (or a crazywild party time) again. Don't let the system drive you crazy, free your mind of all the stress, think about your favorite place, imagine that you're laying in the soft grass in the park or on the beach of some exotic tropical island, with the sun shining on your head, softly stroking you, whispering to you 'Everything's gonna be alright' :)

Lately you can see groups of people aimlessly wandering the streets of the best city in the world, looking for my 'Girls! Girls! Here you can see some good folks wondering where the hell the S@mster is hidding, lol :) 
If you look up the 'Voetboogstraat' on Google Maps, and follow the directions, you'll find the lovely Miss Monyart and me there every Saturday and Sunday from 13:00 - 18:00, for the whole month, showing our pictures of the beautiful girls of the best city in the world. This week we had some beautiful sunshine warming up the best city in the world and everybody really enjoyed this diversion from the gray sky that we've had to look at most of the time in the last months. Even though the Bulldog is just another tourist trap, I do like their logo, a big dog, guarding all the Stoners from the Police taking away their weed-stash...or whatever it is that dog does, maybe it's there to intimidate the visitors into buying large quantities of Hash, who knows. So, it's Monday and I have to go back to work, after a week of vacation, that did not feel like time off at all, because I was so busy preparing for the 'Girls! Girls! Girls!' exhibition at the ABC Treehouse. Having met tons of nice people at the Gallery at the opening weekend made up for that though, it's always really nice to meet Internet friends in real life, and I hope that you'll come and visit the lovely Miss Monyart and myself there next weekend, we'll be there from 13:00 - 18:00 with coffee and cookies :)

As you might know, Holland is not just about Tulips, Windmills and wooden shoes, we've also got a wicked alternative Industry cranking out tons and tons of evil, illegal weeds every year, that then get distributed evenly among the tourist visiting the best country in the world...and to make such a heinous, horrible crime seem less obvious and disturbing, the distribution points are called Coffeeshops, to raise the impression that they're these cute places where you stop by for a yummie cup of coffee, instead of loading up on mind-altering substances. Somebody should call the Police or the United Nations, or something, to stop this madness, lol ;-D

I am not sure why, but lately I've taken lots of wicked reflections that contain something red. It's not like I'm trying to shoot photos with red stuff in them, it just happens, and I don't have much control over what shows up in my puddle pictures anyway, the bikers always pass by so quickly that I'm glad I manage to have them in my shots at all...maybe it's them bloody Communists, they have infiltrated my photo stream somehow, hahaha ;-D
